Making People Care About the Planet

2025: My Wildest Wildlife Year!

This year was something very special for me.

We travelled through Central & South America documenting diverse ecosystems, wildlife behavior, and unforgettable nature moments. It was an incredible wildlife adventure across Mexico, Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica, Belize, and Argentina. Throughout this journey, I documented over 40+ wildlife species including tapirs, harpy eagles, falcons, American alligators, lizards, howler monkeys, frogs, snakes, hummingbirds, sloths, anteaters, giant armadillos, humpback whales, owls, turtles, and countless birds featured in my wildlife calendar project.

Selection of My Work

Documentary &
Nature Projects

I create documentaries and visual stories that bring nature closer to people. Some projects are personal journeys into wild landscapes, others are developed in collaboration with research institutions.

Sin Rumbo

An inspiring story of building a meaningful life in the mountains of Honduras.

Race for Oceans – The Hidden Ocean Threat!

A visual storytelling project supporting the international movement connecting sport, beach clean-ups, and ocean awareness. Through film and photography, I documented the energy of the participants and the urgent message of protecting our seas from plastic pollution.

Research & Collaborations

My work is not only artistic – it is also scientific. I collaborate with researchers, universities, and NGOs to document biodiversity, visualize data, and make research accessible to a wider audience.

From fisheries research in Denmark to biodiversity monitoring in Latin America, my projects combine fieldwork, imagery, and storytelling to bridge the gap between science and society.

Eagle World Conservations Stories

How “Ørnereservatet” in Denmark has worked through generations with both communication, education and conservation for the Sea Eagle.

Exhibitions & Art Projects

In 2025, my photographs of local wildlife were exhibited in Veinticinco de Mayo, Argentina. The municipal environmental department hosted the opening, and the response from the community was overwhelming.

I aim to expand this work – bringing nature photography into public spaces, helping communities rediscover the richness of their own landscapes. Exhibitions and installations are another way of telling the same story: that knowledge, wonder, and beauty awaken care.

Who
I am

My name is Marc Skjødt Pedersen, and I’m a Danish wildlife videographer and documentary filmmaker at the moment based in Argentina. I’ve dedicated my life to exploring and sharing the beauty and complexity of nature through film and photography, from wild coasts and wetlands in South America to research vessels and laboratories in the North.

My work spans wildlife documentaries, fine art photography and collaborations with research institutions such as DTU Aqua in Denmark, where science, fieldwork and storytelling meet. I’m drawn to projects that don’t just show nature, but help explain how it works – and why it matters – in a way that feels honest, curious and human.

I believe that the more knowledge we share, the more care and responsibility we can inspire. That’s why my approach blends scientific storytelling with artistic expression: different ways of opening the door to nature for different people. Sometimes that means quiet, observational sequences; other times it means clear, visual explanations of research and conservation work.

“The more you know, the more you care” has been my guiding mantra for years, and it drives everything I do: to share nature’s beauty and complexity so that people everywhere can connect with it – and feel moved to protect it.
